Escalation of Student Demonstrations at Alabama State College - Spring 1960 (Boyd, 2020)

A 2 page table detailing the esclation of student demonstrations at Alabama State College. The Alabama State Board of Education expelled the Alabama State College students who lead a February 1960 sit-in at the lunch counter in the basement of the Montgomery County Courthouse. This historical account of the escalating protest movement, based on an analysis of primary documents, outlines the increasing number and size of the events that rocked Montgomery, Alabama in the immediate aftermath of the initial courthouse sit-in.
